As a Business User, you now have expanded tools to manage employee timesheets directly in the Borderless AI console. This guide explains how to access, review, and, if needed, act on timesheets.
Employee Submissions
Employees can now download a timesheet template and upload on their own directly into the platform.
Once submitted, the timesheet becomes visible on your Timesheets page.
Accessing Uploaded Timesheets
Navigate to Timesheets from the side navigation.
You will see a list of employee submissions.
For each timesheet, you can:
Download the CSV file exactly as uploaded.
View submission details (Employee, Contract, Country, Status, Submission Date).
Uploading Timesheets
You can continue to upload timesheets on behalf of employees if necessary:
Per Contract Upload (Recommended): Upload a timesheet specific to a single employee’s contract.
Bulk Upload: Upload one timesheet containing all employees’ tracked hours.
In this case, the Associated Contract field is optional and can be left blank.
Note: If you upload a bulk timesheet (one file with multiple employees’ hours), the employee and contract details will not appear in the timesheet table. These fields only populate when timesheets are uploaded per contract.
Withdrawing Timesheets
If you find a mistake in an employee’s submitted timesheet:
You can Withdraw the timesheet from the Timesheets page.
Withdrawing removes the current submission from review but keeps a record of the withdrawn file for audit.
The employee will receive a notification and be prompted to upload a corrected version.
Best Practices
Encourage employees to upload their own timesheets whenever possible—this ensures accuracy and accountability.
Use Withdraw if you catch issues in submitted timesheets before payroll processing.
For last-minute cases (e.g., an employee cannot submit), use Per Contract Upload to submit on their behalf.
Always confirm submissions before the payroll lock date to avoid delays in payment.
